Inside Pregnancy: Girl or Boy?
Girl or Boy? takes you down both possible paths of development, showing the progressive transformation of the external genitalia. Although your baby's sex is determined at conception, both male and female external structures look the same until around 9 weeks. At this point they begin to take their form as either the penis and scrotum in males, or the clitoris and labia in females. You'll also learn a few interesting facts about the ovaries and testes.
"The gender development piece was kind of the bonus track of the series. We had a lot of the assets already built, we just needed to figure out how to actually do the male and female transformations in a believable, medically accurate, acceptable way. It came down to exporting multiple models and displacement maps out of ZBrush and doing progressive morphs in 3Dstudio Max."
